Lisa spent almost 20 years in education as a teacher and leader, serving children and families in the Tees Valley one of the most deprived areas in the country. She knows first-hand the realities of workload and burnout - her own experience of leaving the profession after life-threatening illness fuels her mission to change it.
She brings deep insight into the challenges schools and trusts face today: teacher recruitment and retention, unsustainable marking loads and the need for balance. Her passion is simple: to create a sustainable future for teachers, deliver consistency for leaders and unlock life chances for every young person, starting in the communities that need it most.
Sam is a PhD researcher and teacher with deep expertise in process efficiency and assessment. She has taught physics at Durham University’s international foundation school, supported colleagues as an ‘e-learning champion’ and built a career in helping people and organisations streamline systems to reduce overwhelm.
At Assessable, Sam applies her expertise in research and efficiency to ensure the platform is accurate, evidence-based, and designed for real classrooms. Her focus is clear: to serve learners with better feedback, support teachers with balance, and give leaders the consistency they need to drive improvement at scale.
